The first time MOS came to the land of pizza, pasta, mafia. Italian scene is very active and diverse. The chosen spot was a kind of youth-center next to some traintracks. The climate concerning Graf in Padova is pretty good, the vibe during the jam very chilled.
There has never been a MOS in Italy before, so we are really glad to put it on down there. Padova – a nice city with beautiful women near Venice – is the place to be. Spot Mappaluna is located very near to the central-station reachable in a short walk of 15 minutes. It contains some nice green like a little park to chill-on, is near a social-center Pedro that organises parties and concerts and gives more than 1000qm wallspace to paint on several walls. Several clubs are just a block away.
The event started Friday with priming the walls and working on concepts. As it was damned hot out there, not much was going on, until the main heat of the day had faded away around 4 in the afternoon. By then more and more writers came to rock the walls. It seemed like italian scene is used to the heat during summer down there. They chill over highnoon and get ready to burn as the sun is going down. So the majority of the writers have been buisy in the evening to late in the night.
Saturday was the main day. At night a concert was happening with a dope italian Rap-group and another crew that came straight from Germany – PTF from Pfungstadt, a city like 30km south of Frankfurt/Main. Theses guys made all the way down there, just to represent. Joining the bus from Germany were Breakers from Dangerous Mainz who were rocking the floor together with some cool breakers from Padova-City.
The vibe was really chill and the burners being done in a high-quality. Seems like all major italian writers and crews have been there. Around 80writers represented italian Graf-scene and come from all around the country just to paint, have a good time and chill with people who share the love and passion for graf. Represented cities: Padova, Venice, Vicenza, Milano, Roma, Pisa, Bologna, Bari, Turino and more. Writers from outside the country: TCF-Crew from Bristol in UK, Mr. Who from London, Dome from Germany, Rok from Austria, COA-Crew from Puerto Rico and more.
Sunday was relax-reflex-sweat-day to finish artworks and to meet people in a more relaxed atmosphere. The jam was really great, spread among several walls on several blocks, focussed on Graf. An avalibale shower made the hotness acceptable. It was really great to see all these artists, rocking the walls, chilling with them and just to hang out. It was a straigth chilly Graf-Jam with lots of tea, beer and nice nice people!!
How to get there? The spot: Giardino Fantasia – Via Ticino, Padova. Car: exit Padova ovest, follow direction for padova, turn left, follow via po, pass the redlight and straight on the overpass. When you go down, take the second street on your right and you arrive in via Ticino. By train: Exit from the rear side of Padua station, go to the left , walk for about 700m and turn to the left when you see via Ticino.
