As MOS continues to expand across China, bringing the festival to multiple cities feels like a natural step. China is vast, its graffiti scene is growing fast, and new generations of writers and artists are constantly pushing the culture forward. For 2026, Zhuzhou once again becomes a key meeting point on that journey.

The graffiti story of Zhuzhou wasn’t painted overnight. Known as the city that was “brought here by trains,” its industrial landscape has become one of the most unique and textured canvases for street art in China. Weathered factory walls, endless industrial streets, towering water tanks, and giant smokestacks create a raw urban playground where history and creativity collide. From the remnants of industry, new energy emerges. Zhuzhou’s abandoned factories and rusted machinery carry the marks of another era, waiting to be transformed through color, imagination, and artistic intervention. This idea of breathing new life into forgotten spaces lies at the heart of both Zhuzhou and Meeting of Styles—a shared belief in rebirth through creativity.

In 2016, more than 200 graffiti artists from over a dozen countries gathered in Zhuzhou, creating over 200 murals in just three days and turning an industrial complex into a living gallery of color, style, and exchange. A decade later, in 2026, artists from around the world will return to these walls once again.

On this historic industrial ground, where the memory of China’s manufacturing heritage still echoes through concrete and steel, graffiti transforms the landscape into a global conversation. Different languages, different backgrounds, different styles—yet all speaking through the same walls.
This is more than a festival. It is a gathering of cultures, ideas, and creative energy. Through art, we cross borders, build connections, and celebrate what unites us. Because graffiti has never been only about individual expression—it has always been about community, exchange, and coming together as one.

We are the MOS organizing team based in Chengdu, Sichuan, China. We previously organized the MOS Chengdu graffiti gatherings in 2023 and 2025, with a core team hailing from the STILLWRITIN Graffiti Warehouse. Collaborating with the NY20 International Art Residency and Nongyuan Art Village, we are expanding our venues to Chongqing and Zhuzhou in 2026 to host two consecutive MOS gatherings; we warmly invite artists to participate in both events and embark on a summer graffiti tour.
