We are happy to announce the upcoming opening of “Kontext – Center For Urban Culture”! The time was right, the crew was ready… after years of struggle and work the universe was on our side granting an unique opportunity.
In early 2010 after countless projects, years of work and commitment Wiesbaden based Hip-Hop-Artists have formed to establish Kontext eV.
An associaton with the purpose to promote and to preserve urban culture, but also to establish a forum in order to support netting and exhange. Through a blessing Kontext eV has had the opportunity to rent a building in Wiesbaden, near to the legendary Schlachthof-grounds. The property contains rooms for music groups, a funky backyard, a groovy basement and soon will house a club and bistro. The space will be used as gallery and as a forum for presentation and communication.
Constantly Kontext will bring you Art-Shows, audio-visual entertainment plus much more.
The surface of the building will be created by various international artists in a monumental concept under the motto “Creativity, communication, colaboration”. Line-Up: Pichi&Avo (Spain), Wild Boys (Italy), Kolektyf (Poland), Kaye One, La Klex, Honsar, Pixel Juice, MOS11 (Germany), Bloodclaat (Belgium), Nomen, Pariz (Portugal)
The are more walls to paint at the old Schlachthof-grounds as seen below. These walls below will not be reserved and are legal.
