Large-Scale Mural Project in Wiesbaden-Biebrich
Some walls are simply waiting for paint. Others carry stories that deserve to be continued.
With Style Matters, MOS Germany will bring together internationally experienced mural artists to transform a 650 m² façade in Wiesbaden-Biebrich into one collaborative artwork. The goal is not a series of individual pieces, but one coherent mural that combines artistic excellence, local identity and international exchange.
The mural should represent the district Biebrich: its diversity, history, people, landmarks, stories and future perspectives. It should become a visible point of identification for the neighborhood and create a lasting artwork in public space.
Artistic Approach
Style Matters is more than aesthetics.
Style is identity. Style is dialogue. Style is responsibility.
We are looking for artists with a strong individual visual language who are also willing to become part of a shared concept. Different styles, backgrounds and experiences should come together in one clear and powerful composition.
Before production begins, local residents are sharing stories, memories, wishes and ideas for their neighborhood. These perspectives will not be illustrated literally, but translated through discussion, interpretation and artistic collaboration.
This call goes out to artists with
– experience in large-scale murals and working on scaffolding
– a strong personal style and professional portfolio
– openness to collaborative concept development
– interest in local identity, history, community and public space
– the ability to work independently and reliably within a shared production process

Artists: approx. 10 international artists
Scaffolding: fully provided
Materials: provided
Accommodation: provided
Artist fee: €1,000 per artist, including travel expenses
The wall will be freshly plastered and prepared in advance. The architecture of the building, the surrounding neighborhood, historical references and planned green elements should be considered as part of the overall concept.
