MEETING OF STYLES VILNIUS. For the first time in history, the legendary Meeting of Styles festival arrives in Lithuania – landing in Vilnius, organized by the Vilnius City Municipality. One of Europe’s most dynamic cities becomes a meeting point for international street artists, local creatives, and everyone interested in contemporary urban culture.

During the festival, Vilnius will host more than 40 international and local artists who come together to create art in public spaces.

Specially prepared wooden panels will be set up for live painting, allowing visitors to follow the creative process from start to finish. Together with the event organizer and a selected group of artists, a large-scale mural will also be created in the city, leaving a lasting mark beyond the festival itself.

A festival highlight will be a train carriage painted live by international and local artists.

Thursday, August 6

11:00 – Festival Opening, Artist Registration & First Painting Day

11:00–20:00 – Open Artists’ Studios
Visit the artists’ open studios, get a closer look at the creative process, meet the artists, and explore their work. Participating studios include Trafik, Diana’s Studio and Pipe & Pallet.

11:00–20:00 – Creative Workshop: Collaborative Stencil Art
Visitors of all ages are invited to contribute to a collective artwork using stencil techniques.

Deep Rivers Flow Quietly Festival – Moving Image Programme from the exhibition Housekeeping in Dangerous Times, presented by Sapiegų rūmai and Meno avilys.

Alongside the live painting sessions, an international 2-on-2 breaking battle will take place, accompanied by a live DJ set and hosted by an MC.

18:00 – Film Screening: Wholetrain
Wholetrain (dir. Florian Gaag, 2006) is a cult classic about graffiti culture. Four friends spend their nights painting city trains, living by their own rules while constantly balancing creative freedom with the limits of the law. Authentic, energetic and deeply rooted in hip-hop culture, it is widely regarded as one of the finest feature films about graffiti.
