BIO
Throughout my life, the pursuit of artistic expression has been a driving passion of mine. As soon as I could hold a crayon, I was experimenting with different mediums and techniques. This early love for art laid the groundwork for my journey as an artist, ultimately leading me to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the Art Conservatory at SUNY Purchase. My education provided me with an in-depth understanding of all aspects of fine art, and it continues to shape and inform my work today as a graphic designer and fine artist.
With over 25 years of experience, I have honed my craft and developed a unique artistic voice. In recent years, I have created the moniker She Posse, which represents my unique identity as an artist. I am proud to showcase my work under this name and have had the opportunity to display it in galleries alongside esteemed street artists such as Shepard Fairey and Lady Pink.
STATEMENT
She Posse was born from a desire to amplify the voices of fellow female street artists. As I observed a gender divide within the community, I felt compelled to create art that would inspire conversation and dialogue on the importance of gender equality and female empowerment. My art reflects this passion, a visual representation of the power of art to spark meaningful conversations and challenge the status quo. She Posseโs goal is to encourage and support others who identify as female to have the courage and freedom to create for the streets and beyond. By collectively creating art in public spaces, we can make our voices heard, louder and clearer than ever before, and celebrate diversity while calling for greater representation and inclusivity in the street art community.
