Lucile Van Laecken

Lucile Van Laecken is an illustrator and mural painter. She draws funny characters and colorful universes in the aim of illuminating the Brussels Region, its trams, its walls, its social and cultural places, with a joyful and playful tone, inspired by pop culture, cartoons and comic. After studying animation, Lucile took a few steps into studying video games. Then she decided to go deeper into motion design with specialized training in Brussels. After that, she started freelance graphic design and animation projects, while materializing her universe in the form of screen prints, skateboards, plasticine characters, illustrations,… In 2018, she made hes first mural in the center of Brussels with the “9 visions of Brussels” project led by Parcours Street Art. Since this project, she has continued to spread color in the city and the wall has become her favorite medium for creation.
