RNST is a graffiti artist who began his career as a teenager on the streets of Dijon, France, then decorated them with stencils and posters. Art must not be framed: it must be able to break free and assert truths that oppose political correctness. For him, there can be no artistic initiative without commitment, no commitment without action, no action without a fight, which is why anything off the beaten track fits him like a glove – a boxing glove! Underneath the striking force of his messages, it’s the poetics of his discourse that stand out, the fragility that makes the violence of his uppercuts a little less harsh. The mischievous or rebellious child symbol, as an enlightened spokesperson, wears the colors of insurrection to set the tone, but his vulnerability is the corollary. In direct contact with current events and the failings of our civilization, he is constantly engaged in a game of action/reaction. An unfortunate remark by an elected official, a cause that touches him, a news item that shocks him, a crime that exasperates him… are all reasons to respond with hard-hitting punchlines on the walls.
RNST has extensive experience of creating murals, for example at festivals in France and Europe. https://rnst-art.com/murals-fresques-peinture-pochoir/. He holds a driving license for aerial work platforms and is autonomous in his work.
