Jan Stel (Purmerend 1970), artist name: Simbl (Symbol), is a versatile artist, he is active in several creative fields with a passion for street art and graffiti. Simbl has a background with drawing and painting. From an early age there has been the drive to make beautiful creative expressions and he has worked with many art materials over the years.
In addition to street art, he is also a photographic artist and represented by 2 art galleries.

In the old school days (1988) he started to spray illegally, this only lasted for a short time because the production of full-color walls is his passion.
The aim is not only to decorate the objects artistically, but also to attract and connect with the people who work, live or pass by daily. For Simbl, art is a way to express himself creatively, and doing wall paintings is what makes him feel alive. With his passionate craftsmanship he makes people happy and proud to enjoy or own a eye-catching artwork.
