Born and raised in The Hague, my love for art first sparked in the unexpected corners and walls of the neighborhood where I grew up in the ’90s. My eyes were drawn to the names of local pioneers who cast the city in a new light. Graffiti ignited my creativity, and while others slept, I found the adrenaline at night to leave my own mark on the city. This passion gave me both freedom and run-ins with the law, but it also taught me that creativity knows no bounds.
Over time, I discovered the power of legal wallsโthe Hall of Framesโand began to receive more and more commissions. This gave my work new direction, but I remained true to its core: art as an outlet, a way to escape the ordinary. My styles are diverse and constantly evolving, fueled by influences from culture, media, and nature.
Two years ago, I took a leap of faith. Where the spray can was once my trusted ally, I began experimenting with anything I could get my hands onโstencils, brushes, even kitchen tools. These new instruments opened up a world of possibilities, and suddenly, no idea felt too big or impossible.
My art now spreads across The Hague, from an underwater-themed container at the angling club in Madestein to a vibrant transformer house in stained-glass style on Kamperfoeliestraat, a collaboration with my wife. Transforming urban spaces and making people pause, even for a momentโthatโs my mission. Art should provoke, surprise, and most of all, bring joy.
This is only the beginning.
