The neighborhood record store where we spent our time was also the only seller of spray paint in town. Influenced by U.S. culture and youth, we rapidly took to the streets, at night, on the ring road and in vacant lots, causing mischief together.
Adrenaline and friendship were paramount, and soon, the world of graffiti became our.
Enchanted by the encounters in this unique, underground universe, by the artists whose work he admired, he joined the “crew” O2G, perpetuating the tradition of “black & silver,” “block letters,” and Sunday “Paint & BBQ” sessions. His now well-defined and recognizable style has been honed in recent years between Bordeaux, Paris, Montreal, La Rรฉunion…
Today, wanting to recount all those years of graffiti and nocturnal missions; my work on canvas and big walls plunges us into a prism with strange facets, breaking down the color wheel, where photographic images drawn from my memory appear. Between vivid hues and tonal variations, between reality and the subconscious, I narrate a vandal session, experienced or heard, and immerse the viewer in the maze of my memories, more or less blurry, more or less coherent, until they become close to their own, so that they can tell their own story.”
