I am Nada Almergawi, a muralist dedicated to transforming public spaces through the power of storytelling. With a background in Fine Arts, my artistic practice is rooted in deep community engagement and research. I begin each project by listening to people, to history, and to the unique spirit of a place to ensure the final work is a co-authored narrative.
My work explores themes of collective memory, cultural identity, and the hidden stories embedded in our everyday surroundings. I am particularly interested in how public art can act as a democratic platform, giving voice to communities and creating accessible points of connection.
My notable projects include a major mural in Paris paying homage to icons Dalida and Youssef Chahine, community-based works in neighborhoods across Cairo, an international mural in Mexico addressing indigenous heritage, and recent public art in Copenhagen.
