Rio de Janeiro artist, Madruga aka MGA, began in the Rio de Janeiro graffiti scene in 1999. His work, with its simple and graphic style, has always sought to build an identity. He created a character/tag because he wanted to sign a drawing and not a name.
The continuity of this work led him to create a series of variations on the same icon, which became a classic character in the Rio urban art scene.
As an artist, over the years he has participated in various exhibitions and projects involving the theme of urban art, has been part of collective exhibitions in public and private spaces, and has participated in festivals and projects related to graffiti.
current work blends layers of typography with his traditional identity, creating his own style.
