MANU RAT

My name is Manuela, my artistic name is Manu Rat, I from Medellín – Colombia, I graduated in Plastic arts from the National University of Colombia, I was giving classes as a professor of muralism at the Débora Arango Higher School of Arts, I specialize in painting and I have been working with muralism for seven years, and with art in general fourteen years. I reflect in my murals and in my paintings my personal work style, focusing on the concept of the universe, of who we are and how everything that surrounds and contains us converges with each other. Until now I have had many experiences painting under different contexts and spaces, also in different cities of my country Colombia and others countries, I like so much working with different cultures and people. I have painted as a duet, in group as artist collaboration, art gallery, at festivals and also as an independent artist, and in all ways I enjoyed doing it. I am able to interact and transmit emotions and sensations through art and muralism. I am quite familiar with the handling of paint and aerosol using various techniques and tools, such as nozzles, brushes, rollers, among others. All my time is dedicated solely and exclusively to art.
My main interest as an artist is based on sharing and interacting with society. I am interested in inhabiting the space with art, transmitting my concepts and ideas through strokes, stains and color in order that my works have soul, a meaning and a background.
