Lorenita is an Argentine painter and urban artist based in France since 2006. Drawing is at the core of her practice, which she has been developing in public space for more than ten years through stencil, mural painting and large-scale interventions.
Her universe is built around Lorenita, a recurring female figure who moves across walls, floors, glass and other urban surfaces. Characters, words, symbols and bold graphic compositions form a pop, figurative and free visual language that is immediately recognizable.
Her work explores femininity, freedom, identity, memory and presence in public space. Lorenita occupies the city with strength, humour and sensitivity.
She has created murals and urban interventions in France, Spain and Argentina, in independent, collective and participatory contexts, as well as at festivals. Her practice ranges from stencil to large-scale mural compositions, with particular attention to the dialogue between image, place and other artists.
