Born in Switzerland in 1976, the artist Jinks established his studio in Nantes, France, where he has lived since 2001. He is a member of the DKA collective, founded in 1987.
His adolescence was marked by the raw energy of hip-hop culture and skateboarding, which naturally led him to explore the world of graffiti starting in 1989. Jinks quickly moved beyond simple lettering to adopt a versatile and playful practice, encompassing collages, stickers, paintings, and even the repurposing of road signs.
An indefatigable globetrotter, Jinks has the world as his workshop: he has left his mark and created in 44 countries (Algeria, Germany, England, Austria, Benin, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Northern Cyprus, Southern Cyprus, Ivory Coast, Croatia, Egypt, Spain, France, Greece, Indonesia, Iraq, Italy, Jordan, Laos, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mali, Malta, Morocco, Nepal, Sultanate of Oman, Poland, Portugal, Senegal, Slovakia, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey and Vietnam).
