Erni Vales invented 3D graffiti style that opened a new dimension, inspiring a whole new movement in urban art worldwide. Hip Hop emerged in the early 80s, and the HS of Art&Design became a hub for graffiti pioneers. For almost 50 years since, Erni has developed and evolved his style, elevating graffiti art straight into the mainstream.
Subway trains led to the galleries shows, stemmed into fashion and design, and branched into countless murals in clubs and restaurants up and down the East coast, from Chicago to Miami. Then Hollywood: CBS series Flash, Viper, Vampire in Brooklyn, Se7en. Back in NYC: 13 years as Chelsea Market artist-in-residence and 16 year spree of amazing classic shoots of Madonna, Elton John, Lady Gaga, L’il Kim, Mariah Carey with photographer David Lachapelle. Even a decade of his own gallery in Wynwood. Today and forever still embarking on inspiring, teaching and traveling adventures, painting his way through the world.
