CUBE

My name is Janur, I grew up around Bali’s diverse graffiti scene, where people know me as CUBE. Actively involved in the scene since 2004, I have developed my signature technique which I call ‘machine style’. As a Vespa scooter lover and collector, I find my self drawn to the patterns, lines and shapes from the traditional Vespa designs, which has impacted my own overall style.

Adding to my inspiration of Vespas, I am also deeply influenced by my half Balinese and Half Javanese heritage. I have spent the past five years travelling around both islands researching indigenous folklore, myth and spirituality, which is also reflected in my work.
