The artist first came into contact with graffiti culture in 2007. He picked up a spray can and the name “Mouse,” began to appear on streets and down alleys, spreading far and wide in much the same way that vermin spreads plague. People often ask him, “Why did you choose the name CreepyMouse?” His answer is because in the eyes of the masses, graffiti artists are a lot like mice, wandering the streets in the dead of night, chewing up city walls and treating them like canvases. The word “Creepy,” on the other hand, seems fitting to describe the general public’s impression of their sneaky and rebellious nature.
In 2011, CreepyMouse discovered English calligraphy, and began to practice Gothic script. After practicing with and learning from calligraphers from around the world, he began to incorporate it into his graffiti and his artwork. In 2015, he was invited to join in an international art team called Calligraffiti as an ambassador. The main concepts driving his works are emotional expression, his personal worldview, and his life experiences. His style can best be described as arrangements of abstracted characters, letters, and strokes with realistic ones.
