Hey! My name is Sergio Martinez, AkA Checkos. Self taught artist.
Was born and raised in Mexico, living in the United States the last straight 15 Years. 5 years ago was my first big format painting, Mural, and since then I’ve been actively painting murals. I love the use of colors and specifically the Spray Paint Medium. I’m surely influenced from my early years when celebrating Dia de Los Muertos next to my loved ones and my hometown. My art reflects the colorful palette that Mexican culture reflects, and even thought I like to paint any topic, life has offered me to be more close to Dia de Muertos Theme. Catrinas/es are so poweful figures that reflecs the Mexican Culture in a colorful and beautiful way. I had the chance to Paint Murals in a few different states; California, Texas, Iowa, Ohio. Guerrero and Baja California; States from Mexico.
