Killa.ek or Killa María is a multidisciplinary artist born in Quito, Ecuador, and based in Barcelona. Working primarily in aerosol muralism, acrylic painting, and illustration, her visual language weaves hybrid flora and fauna with contemporary female figures shaped by the vibrant color palette of the Andes.
Her recent work develops the archetype of the “flower woman”: a living body that blooms, observes, and resists. Emerging from a shamanic vision of nature, her imaginary world places fruits within urban space as symbols of memory and connection to her homeland, Ecuador, exploring feminine strength and the enduring relationship between body, territory, and everyday life.
