Paula Camacho is a Colombian-born, Miami-raised multidisciplinary artist based in Denver, Colorado. She graduated from the University of Central Florida in the Fall of 2019 with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and a Minor in Digital Design. She has traveled all over the country to paint murals, live-paint, offer jagua tattoos, and attend artist residencies. She is a resident body painter at The Beacon Denver, and an art curator for Split Lip Magazine. Her mural journey began in 2022 when legendary artist Juan Travieso hired her to assist in a massive mural project. Paula has since painted two collaborative murals, and participated as a solo artist in 5 mural festivals in 2025. She has murals in Miami, Columbus Ohio, Boulder CO, Fort Collins CO, Aurora CO, and Denver CO. She is working hard towards expanding her public art career and building professional trust one mural at a time so that she may continue beautifying the world, installing widely accessible art that spreads a sense of calm, harmony, and thoughtful reflection to all those who may encounter her work.
Paula creates naturescapes that illustrate both internal and external phenomena, exploring how they reflect and affect one another, in order to explore the essence of transformation. Many of her pieces set the scene for a potentially dramatic shift, and others reflect that quality of a transcendental moment. She is very inspired by shamanism, Taoism, and a deep reverence for natureโs perfect, complex, entropic order, which is the animist intensity that is integral to her process.
