Each mural I have created is a testament to my desire to engage deeply with the people, places, and natural environments of the communities where I have worked in Oregon and all around the world. Collaborating with a multitude of groups, I have created over 70 murals, passionately sounding the call that we must protect the natural world and our cultural heritage.
I am a public artist with 20 years of experience painting murals primarily in Costa Rica and the Pacific Northwest to inspire people with art that reflects the beauty of nature, the complexity of ecosystems, and the heritage of our cultural diversity. My compositions emphasize ecological relationships and critical species to encourage personal reflection and motivation to protect the biosphere. My murals have dynamic landscapes that attract the public to get up close and discover details, while also experiencing a sense of connection to the narrative depicted. My art practice focuses on creating murals with communities, and I have dedicated myself to mentoring youth and emerging artists using participatory processes, while painting public murals since 2005.ย
