Vamps

VAMPS is a graffiti artist from Tuban, East Java. His artistic journey of street art and graffiti start from 2014 until now. VAMPS’ graffiti work as a whole presents a form of character-type graffiti by highlighting multiple objects combined with living creatures, especially monsters with contrasting visual characteristics of color, where the visuals are based on VAMPS’ admiration for the fierce and strong impression that is closely attached to the characters of monsters and mythological creatures.
VAMPS’ works invite and spark direct audience interpretation in public spaces that are faced without any limitations through forms that appear real. VAMPS tries to expose characters with fierce visuals so that they can be enjoyed freely and convey the message that beauty can also be found in visual characters that are considered fierce or terrifying. Currently, VAMPS is more focused on trying to explore humanoid objects to develop more flexible visual works, but without abandoning all forms, characteristics, and ideas raised during art activities in previous years.
