Pavel Jones, artistic name of Cristofher Espindola, is a Colombian visual artist and muralist with a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from the Universidad Industrial de Santander. His artistic practice is situated at the intersection of contemporary muralism and relational art, exploring the interaction between image, territory, and community. Since 2018, he has developed a career focused on the intervention of public and rural spaces, consolidating a distinctive visual language that articulates symbolic elements, collective memory, and social reflection. His work emerges from a deep connection with his surroundings, addressing cultural, environmental, and political issues from both a critical and poetic perspective.
He has participated in various muralism festivals and international art gatherings in countries such as Mexico, Honduras, Peru, and Kosovo, where he has strengthened processes of cultural exchange and artistic collaboration. These experiences have expanded his vision of art as a tool for social transformation and identity building. Among his most notable projects are large-scale murals that integrate community and pedagogical processes, in which the viewer shifts from a passive observer to an active participant in the artistic experience. His work reaffirms muralism as a medium to activate public space, generate dialogue, and redefine the relationship between art and society.
