Nature Meeting Graffiti Artist is a project involving eleven urban artists from Italy and several European countries. Launched at the beginning of this year, the call concerns a high-level artistic performance that will allow the creation of graffiti works inspired by nature. The appointment is for 6/7/8 September 2024 from 09.00 to 18.30, at the Mulini Agugiaro & Figna facility, in Parma on the road to Vicofertile. The project is conceived and coordinated by the McLuc Culture aps Cultural and Social Promotion Association and is wanted and supported by Agugiaro & Figna.
The artists admitted to the event are: Base – Spain, Bibbito – Italy, D.Mace – Italy, Meyso – France, Moin of Lomo – Sweden, Nemo Lka – Spain, Nks – Italy, the Sungre duo – Italy, Wios & Savess with the name of Wiosaves – Spain. They will be hosted by the organization and will receive all the material needed to carry out the works. They will receive reimbursement for expenses, food and accommodation.
They are invited to give their contribution to a reflection on nature. Understood as beauty and as a mother of which man is only part together with all living beings. Nature generates us, nourishes us and above all is our teacher. Humanity should be grateful to nature because it is the direct connection with our vital and spiritual functions. Creativity is one of the most natural means that allows us to communicate with our inner world and the environment around us. Nature nourishes the body and soul of living beings. We receive all the raw materials useful for our livelihood and the opportunity to live in harmony with the environment around us, which hosts us. The project aims to be an opportunity to use urban creativity as a means to concretely raise awareness in the community towards the contents of the proposed theme.
Nature Meeting Graffiti Artist is created by McLuc Culture aps and Agugiaro & Figna, promoters of the initiative, with the patronage of the Municipality of Parma, Department of Culture and the patronage of the Municipality of Collecchio, Department of Culture. As part of the international tour of the Meeting of Styles International, the largest international urban art festival. With the support of Montana Cans Italia, official supplier of the Meeting of Stykes and Hard 2 Buff Graffiti & Culture. It will take place at the facility in Via Martiri della Liberazione between Parma and Vicofertile. In an area that already represents an important historical memory for the art of the millers of Parma.
To participate, 80 artists from all over the world applied to a call that admitted only six artists, the number of those admitted increased to 10. For an event that will be remembered in history. The selected artists will be hosted by the organization for three days and two nights, they will receive all the material and everything necessary for the creation of the works.
