Born and raised in rural Yorkshire, north England, Thisone moved to London in 2013.
Two years later, his art changes radically : he quits lettering and starts painting only black and white flowers and animals.
Inspired from neo traditional tattooing’s characters and ornaments, Thisone’s murals mix traditional floral illustration and a magician’s bestiary. Through a timeless aesthetic, he links countryside landscapes and the cities he nowadays explores. His painting process usually incorporates the local fauna and flora as a way to address the surroundings and connect with the passers-by in a gentle way.
As graffiti creates routes to random and famous painting spots, Thisone’s travels led him from London to Paris and Bangkok, passing by the Balkans and recently Indonesia amongst new local friends.
