Beardy

I’m Beardy, a street artist based in Cumbria, North West UK.

My journey into street art began back in 2016 whilst working as a youth and community worker. Developing and running a street art project for young people inspired me to pick up a spray can to learn alongside those I supported. This desire to simply have a go led me into the world of street art and graffiti, and now I find myself deep down the rabbit hole, part of something that brings me boundless joy and happiness.

My paintings draw from my love for comics/anime, table top games, the natural world, metal inspired aesthetics, dark art and surrealist artists. Giving you a heady mix of influences that all seep into my work. My preferred style is clean lines and solid block colours, often focusing on faces with subtle hints of the magical or macabre dropped in.

Much of my work is commission based, which affords me continuous opportunities to be inspired through different sources, mediums or perspectives and gives me the chance to merge and play with different styles, but i’m most at peace when painting anything with crisp clean lines and comic style shading.
